Pimalai Resort and Spa, which opened on November 1st, 2001, is the first and unique 5 property existing on Koh Lanta, Krabi, Thailand. The resort was recently awarded “Kinnari 2004/ Excellence

Koh Lanta is a very quiet and natural destination with its own charm. The island is still largely unspoiled, offers some beautiful beaches, superb low and green mountain backdrops where wildlife is very well present and is at very short distances of some of the highly rated diving spots in Thailand.

Pimalai Resort and Spa is built on a splendid 100 acres of hilly land of lush tropical forest with direct access to a 900 meters pristine sandy beach. A great emphasis has been placed by the architects to preserve the environment when designing the low rise southern style buildings and this results today in a resort complementing the setting rather than competing with it.

The property is located approximately 1h40 minutes from Krabi International Airport and is reached by the resort’s private minibus and cruising boat. The accommodation of restful low-density and of a southern style design, are nestled in this magnificent lush tropical forest, overlooking Ba Kan Tiang bay.

The resort currently offers 79 elegantly appointed rooms, suites and villas with a contemporary Thai style design, a superb infinity-edge freshwater swimming pool, a PADI dive center, a gym with high quality fitness equipment, a library lounge offering speed internet access and two shops. Food and Beverage facilities include, “Baan Pimalai” restaurant, a casual elegant dining venue offering international cuisine, “Spice’N Rice” proposing classic Thai cuisine, “Rak Talay” bar and restaurant, located right on the beach and offering great snacks and the freshest grilled seafood; the Lobby bar, the Pool Bar and two small meeting rooms (8 and 24 persons) for executive meetings complete the facilities.

Deluxe ( 48 sqm )
Our deluxe rooms are spacious with a minimum of 48 square meters including your own private balcony overlooking great landscapes. All are air-conditioned and feature a polished teak wood floor, rattan curtains, rich Thai fabric and are equipped with either a king size or twin beds.

The bathroom either opens onto the bedroom or overlooks the garden. Very well appointed, it features a bathtub, a separate walk-in shower and toilets.

Bayfront Deluxe ( 70 sqm )
The bedroom offers a great living space with polished teak wood floor, rich Thai cotton upholstery, rattan curtains and Siamese artifacts.
A large bathroom with double vanity basins, separate walk-in shower and toilets; featured in this bathroom is a bathtub set behind a large window offering partial views of the bay and the garden.

Pavilion Suite ( 110 sqm )
All suites’ master bedroom have a king-size bed and offer refined Thai style interior design with polished teak wood floor, rattan curtains and Siamese artifacts.

In the Pavilion Suite Two Bedrooms, the second bedroom is equipped with twin beds and features an oversized bathroom with double vanity basins and a bathtub overlooking a private manicured garden equipped with an open-air shower. The second bedroom is well detached from the master bedroom and living room building and therefore offers complete privacy to its occupants.

The oversized bathroom of the Pavilion suite features double vanity basins, inside separate walk-in shower and toilets, and a bathtub overlooking a small manicured garden also equipped with an open-air shower.

Each villa has a total living area of 279 squaremeters and is built on a hillside covering an area ranging from 700 to 1000 square meters. Spacious, elegant and unpretentious in their architectural design, it provides commanding views of Kan Tiang bay and the surrounding lush tropical forest.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas Three Bedrooms With a living space of approximately 650 square meters and decorated in a classy contemporary Thai style, the Beach Villa Three Bedrooms consists of 3 air conditioned bedrooms with large bathrooms equipped with outdoor bathtub.

The Beach Villas Two Bedrooms are set within a landscaped garden and facing the sea. With a living space of about 350 square meters and decorated in a classy contemporary Thai style, these Villas consists of 2 air-conditioning bedrooms with large bathrooms equipped with outdoor bathtub.

The Beach Villas One Bedroom are set within a landscaped garden and facing the sea. Their living space including the outdoor wooden deck is approximately 150 square meters.

Baan Pimalai Restaurant : the main restaurant offers outdoor dining areas with sweeping views of the resort’s infinity-edge swimming pool, the landscaped gardens and the bay. Sightseeing There are many exceptional attractions within a short distance of the resort, including the Marine National Park where numerous monkeys and other wildlife can be spotted and the famous and stunning Emerald Cave on Koh Muk. Sea canoeing is also possible on nearby rivers. At last, Scuba Diving sites (Nov – April only) are exceptional in this part of Thailand because the surrounding coral reefs remain untouched.

Other island excursions include Koh Rok, Koh Kradan, Koh Gnai and Koh Haa.
